Trucks have a whole lifestyle and infrastructure built around them. There area also truck accident attorneys, believe it or not. I had to make sure we got one on retainer, as we were buying the trucking company and we really felt that we needed a specialist. The attorney for the company we bought had one on retainer, but after interviewing her and checking her background we decided to let her go. We then started a search for another. We found a number of good names though referral, and contacted them. Each agreed to come in for an interview, which was great, because I really didn't have time to drive all around the city, and I wanted to meet any new council personally. The first lawyer was late. Not a good sign. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt, as he rushed in and blamed the traffic up north. I've been caught in the same traffic, so I know what he was talking about. It's horrendous. We talked for quite awhile, then he talked to Ransome, out company attorney. We would meet later to compare notes. The next lawyer was right on time, and it turns out had once worked for us years ago, before getting his law degree. Small world. He knew the company well, and knew trucks and truck law really well. This looked like it would be a good fit.
